Intimate maternity photography
The wait- maddening and beautiful.
Time defying everything we thought we knew about it.
Reach out if you want to make pictures of this moment in-between.
Capturing pregnancy on film might be my very favorite thing.

Your maternity photos should reflect your experience.
Maybe it’s been slow and tender.
Maybe it’s been empowering.
Maybe it’s been a time of transformation, of expansion, of courage, of hope.
Whatever the experience, I want to make images with you that honor these days of waiting and growing.

The standard wisdom says sometime between 28-26 weeks. I’ve got to say, I kind of like the drama of waiting - there’s something about the energy that builds as we get closer to birth. Plus, if this is your first child, it might take awhile before you “pop.”
But if you’re worried about feeling swollen or unwieldy or just generally kind of cranky as the pregnancy wears on, let’s get your pictures done on the earlier side of the window.
Each pregnancy is unique- each photo session should be too. I’m always happy to arrange a call so we can talk about what timing makes the most sense for you.

As always, my first answer is going to be home. I love at-home sessions for just about every, but I think there is something extra special about making pictures at the place you are preparing for your new child.
My second choice will always be in/ near water. I’m always happy to arrange sessions near my home in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland for folks who want to have pictures that have a wild, water element to them.
If neither of these options feel right to you, reach out. We cna figure out something that feels just right.

I don’t offer packages that are specifically for maternity sessions. You can book a full session or a long form session depending on how much time you want to spend creating together.
