SLOPPY PINS

SLOPPY PINS: A Pinterest Course for Photographers

There are all sorts of reasons to try to decrease your dependence on any one platform. Like all ecosystems, a healthy marketing ecosystem is a diverse one.

This course is for the photographer who want to add Pinterest strategy into the mix but who can’t handle to idea of needing to do another thing perfectly.

If you’ve only been using Pinterest to find recipes you never cook and outfits you will never recreate, you’ve been missing out. This course is going to take you through the process of getting your account set-up so that your work will be seen for years to come. Some of my best performing pins are five years old.Can you imagine an Instagram post bringing hundreds of people to your website each month for years? No you can’t because it would never.

It is very important that you know that my strategy probably does not look like a whole lot of the standard advice you’ll see out there about pinning. It’s not that I am saying I’m right and they are wrong- i’m really just trying to offer an alternative. I think that there are lots of places in our business where we need to show up regularly and consistently In my experience, Pinterest isn’t one of them. Thank heavens. Let’s let this one thing be easy.

*Just a reminder that I think our hunger for being seen has become almost insatiable. Pre-internet days the idea that 50 people would show up to a gallery to look at our work would have felt momentous. So While I really do want to help your work get eyes on it, take a moment think about all the people who have already seen your images and maybe let yourself celebrate that for a moment.

what’s included:

  • The Pinterest Guide (PDF Download)
A beautifully designed, practical guide that walks you through setting up or tweaking your Pinterest account, understanding keywords, creating effective pins, and building a strategy that works for your photography business and your life.

  • Live Group Call
A guided, walk through building out your Pinterest account complete with plenty of jokes and probably some of the stories I tell over and over again. I’ll show you how my sloppy, easy, sort of inconsistent Pinterest startegy is working for me and can work for you.

  • Two Live Co-Working & Q+A Sessions (1 hour each)
Because most folks I know have every intention of getting things started but have a hard time making it happen, these co-working sessions help you to carve out time to make it happen. We’ll pin together, troubleshoot, and celebrate progress in real time. You can ask questions, get feedback, and see what’s working for others.

Everything is designed to be clear, doable, and grounded in Rachel’s signature approach- real, gentle, and deeply human marketing that doesn’t make you feel like you’re selling your soul.

FAQ’s

Do I need to already have a Pinterest account?
Nope. This is the perfect time to get started.

Will this take a ton of time each week?
Absolutely not. My approach is about sustainability and the purpose of having the two co-working sessions is to help you carve out tdedicated ime to get started.

Will there be replays?
Yes. All live sessions will be recorded and sent to you afterward so you can revisit them anytime.

Is this for all kinds of photographers?
Sure is. I think all visual artists could benefit, but let’s start this party with just the ones using a camera.

What if I’m not very “techy”?
Same, girl, same. This is not very techy in any sense. The technology is pretty simple on our end and it’s not a highly technical process I’m using. It’s messy and fun and getting the job done.
